Waterton Lakes and Northen Glacier Trails
By Andy Russell
"The trails of Waterton and Northern Glacier represent some of the most scenic in all our National Parks. They lead visitors through a wide variety of geography from the shores of the main lake up through the trees to timberline meadows and along high ridges over 2,750 metres above sea-level, where one can see a vast panorama of mountains tempered by the distant view of the flat rim of the prairie to the east. There is no comparable place in Canada with the spectrum of color or the contrast in topography." |

The text is supported with black and white photographs, art reproductions and maps. |
